The following article indicates that one of the major power companies

> BPL (Broadband Over Power Line) technology has decided to
> "pull-the-plug" and not pursue widespread deployment.
The same has happened to most deployments in Germany. If you have one or two users, it works fine (though you generate interference for other users, especially shortwave radio). But if you get hundreds or thousands of users, they start to interfere themselves and the bandwith drops considerably.
