What do you have against the 7212? Other than the lithium battery, I can't think of anything that is really bad about it. Of course, programming it can be a pain until you learn the ropes.

I still have lots of 6112's and a bunch of 4112's out there still chugging away. IMO the 6112 was a great panel.

ok so they're old. never had any problems with them though - i still show
454 of them out there according to my db. (a few are probably dead from neglect though - changed a battery in one the other day...you mean you have to change the batteries after 14 years??? - that one was a local :-)| >

Thanks to everyone on this thread for their help and kind encouragement. The panel is unlocked and ready for business. The D1255 keypads are responding to the panel and everything looks good.
Final update on the D7212B1 unlocking story.
It seems that Jim Rojas and I have a good way to unlock Radionics
7000 and 9000 series panels. As it is not my intention to get into the Radionics unlocking business, and it seems that it IS Jim's business, if you want to have one of these panels unlocked contact Jim.To be clear, the method that we have, by design, prevents capturing the original datalock code and programming to avoid competitive problems that could arise otherwise.
