Nextiva

For any Verint guys out there, here is a good one. After spending about a week trying to get Nextiva 5.0 SP1 to install on a Windows Server 2003 R2 platform I discover that Nextiva 5.0 SP1 won't run on Windows 2003 Server R2 only the earlier Windows 2003 Server. Of course finding that out from a level 3 tech meant having to flatten the OS a couple of times to be certain the OS installation wasn't corrupt (to satisfy the level 1 & 2 techs). Don't you just love clear instructions? It clearly doesn't mention anything about this in the installation manuals. It is times like these when instead of video over a phone line, remote hands that can reach around the neck and squeeze vigorously could have real value.

I feel your pain. I have been working on such a device for years; I call it the choke-a-matic 3000. Still have some bugs to work out, not the least of which is that the remote hands always seem to snap the neck of the person on the other end of the line like a bread stick. js

Yeah, I know. Just trying to keep it under the radar of the PC liberal nannycrats.
