I am having a brain freeze. What do you call a computer program or utility that lets you peek inside a long list of files to see what they are without having to use the application to open the file? Thanks... Allan

No, What I was referring to was a "File Viewer". Does Total Commander do that too?

Total commander does it and a whole lot more. Let's you even change the file attributes, and even the date. It also moves files around, & case changes slicker than snot... :)
