1832 with TL-250 combus faults???

Sometime last year one of our customers wanted to upgrade his system from a

1555. So we installed an 1832. He also wanted to be able to log in to it to change codes and see the event buffer, so we installed a T-Link.

The problem though, is that occasionally the system will freeze up with a combus fault and the keypad (PK5500z) will just have a message displayed about the fault and is unresponsive.

It seems that this problem is completely random, happening anywhere between a couple times a week and once every couple of months. Fortunately they're close by so it doesn't take long to go there and power cycle the panel, which always fixes things for the moment.

After talking to DSC's tech support, the options were to either replace the combus wiring or replace the panel. Both were done a few months ago. Today the problem showed up again.

So I'm wondering if anyone here has had a similar problem and what can be done about it.

Other than the keypad and T-Link the only other thing on the combus is a wireless receiver, which was a part of the original system and has never been a problem before.

Any suggestions?

Just did the ONLINE class on DSC.COM. The TL-250 only works on some 864 or MAXAS panels.
