Srat Talk Flash Base Alarm 012

Nov 07, 2005 0 Replies

Hi Folks: Two times now, I've lost this flash after plugging a telephone set into the DN that the flash was using. This was a working port for the flash, and now after using it on a 7310, it's no good for the flash. With a terminal in the wallboard port of the flash, it comes up with:

An illegal instruction exception has occured.

PC return on SSP = 0x8CB310 PC return on USP = 0x0867C4 SR = 0x0004

Base Alarm 012: An unexpected exception has occured. Halting.

Well, I've been swapping ports around and now they all say the same thing.. If I connect no port, it notifies of a KSU check port and TCM connections.

The Nortel Engineer has no idea what this is. He says if a phone works on the port, this should, but putting a phone on this port is what seems to have wiped it out, twice.

Any pointers appreciated. Thanks! Harry
