Nortel VPN client not getting DNS server addresses

I use a Nortel VPN client for work and get a DNS server address, a connection specific DNS suffix, and the DHCP Enabled is set to NO. Someone else has none of these and has to add the site addresses to his hosts file to be able to find the sites. He is assigned an ip address, but nothing concerning DNS. The site works correctly for many folks, so there must be something related to his setup that is causing problems.

We both use the same client (4.6 I think), we connect to the same destination URL, we both have DSL with his being Bell South, and we both have routers, with his being a Dlink 524.

Something must be keeping the VPN server from configuring his client. Anyone have any guesses, like a router setting, or ISP deficiency, or firewall?

Thanks, Clark
