Hi all,
I am looking to find either a free or paid database or application that will allow me to see some meta data about any executable - atleast most of the common ones. In particular, I want to see information about which installed product this executable belongs to. This product name should correspond to the "Add/Remove" product data in the control panel applet whenever possible.
Additional information like application category would also be useful - e.g Document Viewer, Malware, Hacker Tools, Email client etc.
If you know of anyone providing such a product/service, please let me know. I know this information can easiy be found on google in most cases but I need something that is programmatically accessible.
