how can i block apps

Assuming the router you have works like the router I use to have like a Linksys, you set a rule to block a MAC NIC, then the entire machine is blocked. I would check this out on my WatchGuard as I have never tried it, but I cannot remember the damn password. ;-)

It's time to head back to work.

IMHO, App Control is not all it's made out to be and can be defeated, leaving you with that I thought I was safe I had it covered because I have App Control. ;-) If there are programs on the machine you don't want to run or accessing the Internet, then remove them, don't install them or have the O/S stop their execution. If you got a laptop put the PFW solution on it, because it's mobile. Your machines are setting behind a SonicWall. What's App Control going to buy you? It's much to do about nothing.
