FTP over HTTP? WTF?
Are you talking about sites that offer both ftp and http options for large downloads? Or attempting ftp via an http proxy server?
Or are you perhaps thinking of FTP over SSL?

really dont know ......but i ve come across lot of people using the term "ftp over http" was just curious to know more about it..(i think its more similar to wat u said i.e ftp via http proxy....)
