Usenet groups are easier to use, reach more people, and provide a great archive medium, and most importantly - DON'T REQUIRE YOU TO HAVE A YAHOO ACCOUNT. Your group is a members only group - you may not get many people with that type of group, I know I would not join it because of that.

I joined a PIX yahoo group and I thought its quite good, you get email direct to your mailbox and noiselevel is very low even several PIX developers post and respond.
