I am looking for a good networking book with emphasis on the intricacies of passing data from Ethernet to ATM/SONET networks and vice verse. Current commercial devices use either bridging network elements or routed network elements to perform this function. I would expect that this book would talk about bridging and routing as it applies to this problem.
Also, the more details and technical it is, the better. I am not after one company's specific application. I would like a good discussion from networking theory and current network standards (i.e. RFC's, etc), with examples.
