WLAN bridged to LAN on C871W

Hi there,

I have attached my wireless on a C871W through IRB to the wired LAN. Can anybody tell me if a bridge-group has influence on performance in comparison to have two different VLANs and connect the Wireless & LAN through Vlan-routing only?

What are the disadvantages in terms of throughput/performance when using Bridge-groups?

Thanks for your help!

Andy

Since transparent bridging seems to be fast-switched too I would not expect any significant difference.

Nothing like testing it though?

This one is fast switching almost all transparently bridged packets.
