What are your experiences with ASA 5500 series vs using seperate devices

I have a pix 515UR but no antivirus or ips for our internet connection. We have a 10Mbps Internet connection with 2000 nodes. I am looking at the new ASA-5500 series but I am also wondering if it would not be better to purchase individual best of breed solutions for each function (firewall, vpn, ips, antivirus, etc). I would appreciate your thoughts and experiences.

Thanks!

I think it really comes down to what you are familure with, and what your requirements are.

I still feel Cisco is playing catchup with the ASAs, the Netscreen and FortiGate boxes configure and behave better and are much more integrated rather than have seperate HW modules to handle each function needed.
