VPN device AND a PIX

I am building the infrastructure for a remote office using an inexpensive RR cable connection to provide Internet access. The cable company will sell me a block of IP's for $600 a year extra or I can have a single address. I have a old VPN3002 hardware client and a new PIX 501. Does it make sense to put in the hardware client to segment the VPN traffic to the home office from the Internet traffic on the PIX. If so then I guess I will need to lay out the extra $. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
