View pre shared keys on pix

Hi Group'

I have been given a pix to get used to the CLI on it.

A silly question if anyone could help?

On the config output the pre-shared vpn key is asterisk'd out

isakmp key ******** address 1.1.1.1

How can i view what this key is in plain text?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

If you save the config through tftp , you will see the key in clear text

tftp-server inside [tftp ip]/config.cfg wr net

Or if it's 7.0 or great you can do a "more system:running-config"

Interesting...I didn't realize you could output it like that!

While we're at it, is there a similar way to do this for a 3005 Concentrator? I don't know what the PSK is, and I have to keep using the same .pcf file instead. It would be nice to get that back and into the password safe.

Not on the concentrator, but you can decrypt the password in the pcf file which will result in the same goal. Open the pcf in notepad, copy and paste the password line in to this website.
