Hi, I always used H.323 as signalling protocol for Cisco voice gateways. Now, I have a potential customer that insists on SIP. I see good reasons for using SIP in IP telephony implementation. But I don't see any advantages for using SIP in voip networks (voice gateways). Honestly, I don't have experience with SIP so my question is: what advantages are in using SIP for Cisco voice gateways

-what about gatekeeper functionality equivalent in SIP (SIP proxy ?)

-what about CAC functionality in SIP

cheers, jmiklo
