I have this error message "21 residual bit errors" when I use the sh controller serila 1 command. Also when I use sh int s1 command I see "21 input error, 21 CRC error". Are these error messages related to each other and what cause this tho happen. Thanks...
Yes they are related.
Both messages indicate that 21 packets were corrupted during transmission.
Clear the interface counters and monitor for any further errors
Anything that is faulty in the data circuit can cause CRC errors.
