In our network design, our parent company, which stands between us and the internet, has a PIX that acts as firewall in the typical way. We would also like to set up our PIX as a firewall between them, and our network. This will allow us to establish our own VPN, and perform some filtering and other stuff. We aren't using any NAT, that is inside our network we use the real addresses.
We're having some real problems getting packets to the outside world and back. Our routers, and the routers of our parent company all use EIGRP. But a PIX only uses RIP (I believe). I speculate our problem lies in the fact the routers on either side of our PIX, and our PIX are not exchanging routing info. And actually, this problem persists if we invoke RIP, as well as EIGRP on our routers. Is there someelse we need to do to make all the routers and PIXes play nice?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
