reset port settings to defaults

Sep 12, 2009 2 Replies

I've been messing around with the settings of one of my FastEthernet ports on a 2600 router and I think I've made a mess of it, now the port doesn't seem to work is it did despite my trying to backtrack. Is there a command that will erase all the port settings and zap the whole port back to defaults? not all the ports, just one. Thanks for any advice.

router# conf t router(config)# default interface f0/1 (or whatever it is)

Justin

router# conf t router(config)# default interface f0/1 (or whatever it is)

thanks for that Justin, Before posting I'd spent ages doing (config-if)# ? and (config-if)# default ? and plodding through the different options but getting nowhere.
