Question: Reverse telnet with a 2509 : does not work on switches

May 27, 2005 2 Replies

Hi,

I just set up reverse telnet on my 2509 to connect to 3 switches and 5 routers. I can access each router OK but none of the switches. Is there something extra I should do for the switches? They are all 1900s.

Thanks, V

I reccomend taking a look at the line con configuration for the switches. router looks ok.

Hi,

Can you be more specific?

I did not have to set anything up on the individual routers so I'm not sure why I should set anything up on the switches. AFAIK the 'line 1 8' statements are the same for all devices.
