I have a Cisco 2970g 24 port gigabit switch running
IOS (tm) C2970 Software (C2970-I6L2-M), Version 12.1(19)EA1d,
which has a broken Bridge MIB (RFC 1493). It doesn't contain the port to IF number table (dot1dBasePortIfIndex, which has OID ..1.3.6.1.2.1.17.1.4.1.2.)
I used to whinge at 3Com being cavalier about implementing the Bridge MIB, it appears that Cisco are getting cavalier about standard MIB support too. Anyone got any clue as to what Cisco are playing at?
