How to set Cisco-7960 phone to send SUBSCRIBE message?

Hello,

I have a Cisco-7960G IPphone with the latest SIP image (8.5, non-CCMGR version). I would like it to send a SUBSCRIBE SIP message for the speed dials lines. Is there anyway (config parameter or something else) to force it to send this message?
