How does calendar queue work?

Hello,

Both the books -- "Inside Cisco IOS Software Architecture" and "IP Quality of Service" mentioned "calendar queues", but hadn't given detailed description -- how calendar queues like? how it works internally?

I only have interest in its way of working, but not its mathematical algorithm.

Could who please give me some material about calendar queue, or help me understand it?

Thanks!

Take a look at

Hello, thank you for the information.

After search on google, I noticed an article titled "Calendar queues: a fast O (1) priority queue implementation for the simulation event set problem", by Brown R, Communications of the ACM,

1988

I guess you can also see it on google. I think it should be most likely the answer for my question.

But there seems no FULL text of the article (Many links only give a preview).
