ds3 scrambling

Hi all, I have the following situation:

1. An OC12 comes into the building terminating at a Fujitsu SONET mux
2. From the mux I take a coax pair to a 3800 router for a subrate DS3 interface

It seems that at time there a syncing issues. A few times the router reloaded on its own and the circuit would not come up (Up/Down state on serial interface). Putting the t3 controller into local loopback and then taking off the loopback bought the circuit up.

Errors are seen when the line protocol is down:

After the looping all errors cease.

Would scrambling help a syncing issue like this?
