I was looking at some OSPF literature (CCNP recert pending).
Q - In which state do the DR & BDR establish adjacencies with each router in the network.
I was sure that this was Exstart, the Cisco Press book has this as Init State.
On further reflection and looking at RFC 2328 - I believe that the question doesn't refer to 2 x routers first booting up on a broadcast network, more a new router coming up on an existing network where a DR / BDR are already elected. A case of me misinterpreting the question.
Would I be right in thinking that my answer was correct if no DR or BDR were in place. Surely at this point the DR/ BDR election takes place (Exstart phase) and then the adjacency forms.
