Hi,
I normally use a terminal emulator on windows to connect to a PIX501 using a serial cable.
I am now using a linux box to do the same (running red hat). Which program should I use to connect to the PIX?
Any pointers much appreciated.
John

i use minicom.

I use minicom, but there are many other choices such as seyon, kermit, C-kermit, cu, and tip. Just be aware that most need to be configured first, and default to assuming a modem connection, so you may need to read the man pages before you connect to your PIX.
Good luck and have fun!

That's a matter of taste. I am partial to kermit .
kermit or minicom should do the trick.
