Cisco ISDN Question

I have a Cisco 4500M router with 8 Port BRI module. How can I tell if the interfaces on the module are U or S/T type?

'show interface BRI 0' or 'show version' don't tell me much.

BRI0 is up, line protocol is up (spoofing) Hardware is BRI

Basic Rate ISDN software, Version 1.1.

8 ISDN Basic Rate interface(s)

I have an ISDN simulator that uses S/T ports and I don't want to damage my equipment by connecting a S/T port to a U port. I know that Cisco use to sell a NP-8B module with U or S/T ports.

You can find this information on the module. On the module you can see BRI S/T or U. Or you can take the module name (It will be like WIC-1B-S/T or NM-XXXXX) and search on the Cisco.com to find out.

I was not able to find anything on the Cisco website, and other documents that I tried to access require a log in. During my frustration, I noticed that the RJ45 jacks have four wires inside which told me this was a S/T module. I connected it into my ISDN sim, and it works fine.
