Cisco Aironet 350 Firmware Upgrade...

Apr 27, 2007 1 Replies

Hi.

I have a Cisco Aironet 350 series access point running firmware version 11.07. It has started behaving very oddly (stopping and starting drivers for 'fec0' every few minutes and also at it's worst, rebooting itself every few minutes). I'm pretty certain it needs a firmware upgrade.

Please could someone confirm my understanding as follows:

The access point is running VxWorks (web interface is yellow / red / grey colour scheme). All of the latest firmware is IOS rather than VxWorks.

I cannot upgrade to IOS unless I am running firmware version (at least) 11.21.

I cannot get hold of firmware version 11.21 from the Cisco web site as it's too old / out of support. (I can only see 12.XX).

So.....am I stuffed or what? Shall I just get a newer AP? The 350 IS very old anyway so it certainly is not the end of the world.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards

Rafael

This may be a hardware problem, not resolvable by firmware.

Upgrade to 12.03T, from there you can convert to IOS.
