Cisco 500-24 switch alerting on half duplex?

I have a Cisco 500-24 switch. Port 2 is set forced to 10/half. A Cisco router plugs into this link, which has a 10/half ethernet connection (doesn't support full.)

Why does the switch keep throwing up the alert light? Log shows this;

Port Fa2: Detected a half duplex configuration or a duplex mismatch on this link.

Is there a way to disable this?

Yes, that's what I said. A device which only supports 10/half is by default hardcoded to 10/half. There is no configuration on the router for duplex or speed. (Yes, it is an old router.)

Any idea why the switch is alerting?
