Blocking a domain based on names open original image

Hi,

Is there any command to block domains based on their names like marskarthik.com, mail.yahoo.com, etc in Cisco 2610 router or Cisco Pix

506E

Since these domain people change ip address often, i want to block based on domain names.

Someone help me on this.

Thanks in advance, Karthik

I know this is not possible on the router, and pretty sure its not possible on the pix. You are talking about packet level manipulation which would require a full firewall suite...perhaps checkpoint does it. I would think an easier way to solve would be to put a static DNS entry on your DNS server to an address that doesnt exist for those domains. Or better yet, get surf-control or some kind of web-proxy. Several free linux ones out there........
