Question regarding simulation questions on CCNA exam open original image

Hi All,

Quick question regarding exam simulations on the CCNA exam.

If, say, the question was to configure RIP on a 2600 router....if I typed

Router>enable Router# config t Router (conf) router ripp [instead of rip]

Would the simulator come back with an error message or would it allow me to carry on but mark the question wrong?

Many thanks in advance.

Dilan

You would get an error message just as you get on a real router running IOS.

Thanks...would you be marked wrong for putting the typo in?

only if you didnt end up with a "working" config - it is the end result that gets marked, not how you got there.

FWIW the awkward ones are where the command you think you need isnt in the sim......
