Greetings. I have just got a new CM232. I got it from my ISP but it didn't come with a printed manual of any kind or a CD-ROM. It works fine.
I can get to the built-in 192.168.100.1 log-in screen, but what is the default userid/pw? I have tried admin/password and admin/1234 but neither works.
I posted this query on Netgear's user forum several days ago, but no joy. Perhaps someone here will know?

My Netgear router uses admin/password, so that was a reasonable try. You could also try /1234, admin/, /admin and / which would just be a wild guess.
My Terayon modem default is much more cryptic - not sure about Netgear modems.
If the ISP has changed it, you may be out of luck. You could also try calling your ISP's support line and asking them what it is - you might luck out. Just tell them you want to access the status page so you can save them unnecessary calls in the future. :)
