Weendoze XP is good for nothing.
I have a dual processor int(h)el(l) box that I put together here and it is running XP Professional . It's still a s***ty interface, the fonts and graphics (for somethign called professional) are still cheap and look childish. Oh, and security??? NOT. Let me tell you about the little surprize I discovered (well, my kids did) using the no password, no privil- ege account that was created for my 4 yr. old to play his Clifford the Dog learning game.
....and networking... What a joke. I spent 3 gruelling days on the phone with *India* support for a NETGEAR wireless card. Some time ago, I spent hours on the phone with a D-Link camera. They never could get the camera to function. The NETGEAR folks couldn't figure out the wireless problem. I finally figured it out after removing all of the security from my wire- less network.
At least with the Apple, it works. And go out and try to configure a 17" laptop equipped like the Powerbook G4 for anything less than the price of a Powerbook G4. You can't... and the Powerbook will run a 1/2 decent OS. Can't say that of your Weendoze.
