I have the Home Director PC Connection Module it has a com cable I need software for XP to use this unit Where would I find it or do I need to replace the unit

If your unit has battery backup it's probably equivalent to the X10 CM11A and you can download ActiveHome version 1.42 software at .
This software has been problematic on Windows XP for some people, but YMMV.
If your unit doesn't have battery backup, I don't think the ActiveHome software will talk to it, but you can try.
