Wireless Access Point vs a Gaming Adapter Bridge

Specifically, I don't understand the difference between Netgear WGE111 (Gaming Adapter) vs NETGEAR's WG602 Wireless Access Point.

All I need is to connect to my WLAN using a given SSID/Channel in adhoc mode and connect my old Ethernet only PC.

Intenet - - - - - WLAN Router - - - - - ? __________Ethernet__________ PC

Can both do it?

appreciate detailed response on how I can do it if possible.

Thanks Gmu

OK realized the access-point, at least Netgear AP does not do the bridging I need. I got a regular Netgear printserver for 30 more bucks to do the Job. Great! A game adapter with single Ethernet port could I have done the Job but the print server had more Ethernet switch ports and couple of USB ports.

Great. Hope this helps someone.

Next assignment is to connect the Ethernet switch port to Uplink of a Netgear MR*** router and try to extend the Wi-Fi range. Comments?
