Connection problem

Hello, I have a strange problem, which cropped up after an automatic Windows-update. I have an Evo n600c notebook, running WinXP-pro Sp2, all known updates installed. I have for a long time been able to connect to the Internet via a Belkin Wireless accesspoint. My stationary PC still uses this connection, so the problem is not there, I beleive.

My notebook is connected to the wireless network, "excellent connection", but I am not able to get on the net. I have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed, but deactivating it makes no difference. I'm not able to ping anything on the network, not even myself. I have a static IP-address.

Anyone have a clue?

Greetings from Nils Langeland

Any MAC or IP address filtering involved?

IP filtering is usually on the same tab as MAC addrss filtering - same principal.

Turn off any MAC filtering you have and see if that works.
