WDS question

Hi all, Since I'm not so familiar with WIFI technologies, I'd like some help with the following question:

I have a Netgear WGR614v7 wireless router. Currently, this router is used only as an access point. I want to buy another wireless router and enable WDS between the two. My question is, Do both routers must support WDS, or is it ok for just one router to support WDS? If that's the case, then I'll buy only one router which supports WDS.

Thanks in advance!!

WDS is not standarized. You must use two routers that can do WDS with each other. Usually, that means two WDS-capable units from the same manufacturer. It's possible to mix units of different makes, but it depends on the particular models and their firmware.
