Super G vs. Extended Range Wireless

I have a CheckPoint Safe@Office wireless firewall/router. It supports both Super G (108 mbps) and Extended Range, though not both options can be selected at the same time (not sure why). For use in a wireless home network setting in a two story home, approximately 2800 sq. ft., which option would potentially provide the best results (overcoming dead-spots)?

Google doesn't provide anything that directly addresses my question.

TIA

I would simply suggest experimenting. Also might depend on which vendor's wireless cards are in various laptops / desktops which will be using the network.
