Hi all you gurues,
We have some PCs sitting on a wlan behind a Cisco router. We have used NAT (one-one IP adress translation) on the router to tranlate to public addresses when the user want to onto the nternet.
Then we observed that it was not possible for the PCs to use XPs build in VPN client which used pptp as a protocol to connect to a VP_N server on the Net..
Then we switched to PAT (many-to one adresse translation) and then they could connect with the VPN client. We find that rather strange
Has anybody heard about this before - or does someone have an explanation. Has it something to do with Cisco implementation of NAT/PAT
Any clue is appreciated
