Do any of the cisco ip phone or any ip based phones support the 'cd quality audio' or 128k AAC-LD or is the 64k G.711 the best?

CD quality sound for voice seems like an overkill. Are you trying to send a background music or something as demanding via IP? There are specialized devices for that. Check with paging vendors like Bogen and Valcom.

some of the cisco phones support a 256k proprietary codec - it will work with call manager, but not sure of other uses.
