I thought Digest readers would be interested to know that Skype users can call North American toll-free numbers for free using Skype. Toll calls require having money in your Skype account.
I have not tried to dial any toll-free numbers outside of North America.
If memory serves me correctly, two or more businesses can share a toll-free number. Calls in one part of the country would get company "A" while another part would get company "B". Am I remembering this correctly? Is this still the case? I'm curious how Skype would handle such a call.
