I don't understand why anyone would pay Verizon Wireless or any phone company $4 a month as a privilege to get rates that are hardly a bargain.
Using OneSuite you can get rates as low as
1.9¢/minute to call Canada or 2¢/minute to call the UK.
Using GorillaMobile it's 5¢/minute to call Canada or 5¢/minute to call the UK. There's a $5.95 fee per year.
Both of these services are "PINless" so don't require a lot of extra input except for the initial connection to the access number.
