The ELK M1 Gold system can handle both conventional alarm inputs and analog signals. That means it can read and compare actual temperatures, humidity, soil moisture content, etc. The system can control most automated lighting systems, single and multi-zone thermostats, etc.

ELK has partnered with numerous lighting control manufacturers, including Advanced Control Technologies, Inc. ELK's M1 Gold is compatible with thermostats from Research Products, Inc. (Aprilaire), Home Automation Inc. and Residential Control Systems, Inc. (RCS).
