Linux on Nortel PBX systems?

Hi all, Somebody posted a link a few weeks back to a Network World article. It was about the BCM 50, which will be running on Linux. The article mentions that 'the next major release' for the CS1000 will ALSO be Linux.

So my question is, what about the 'legacy' M1 PBXs? Will they also go to Linux? What has the group heard? And if this is indeed true, what are your thoughts about leaving the real-time VXworks for Linux?

Well not sure about PBX systems, But since most proccessing is done on dedicated chips now there is no real need for a realtime OS like VXworks on some network gear like switches. And with more multiservice function on many software routers, is starting to require a more true multi-task OS anyway.
