X10 Powerflash Interfaces for sustained closures

Apr 30, 2005 1 Replies

Shouldn't be a problem (IMHO), in that I use one with NC reed switches, that keep it closed 99.99% of the time.

I never thought it was designed for "momentary closures", in fact if "momentary" was too quick, I was concerned that the change would occur too quickly, and would be missed.

Although I believe X10 Powerflash Interfaces are designed for momentary closures, I would like to use them for sustained closures, with toggle switches. Therefore, my question is, would it cause any harm and/or cause an Interface to draw any electricity if the interface is used for sustained closures?

Thank you, Bill Geluso
