I just came across yet another ethernet-to-serial module but this one has an interesting feature. It can be programmed with a proprietary (free) Basic compiler. The language can also be used in HTML scripts. It might have some interesting applications for DIY HA. So far I haven't been able to determine how much memory is available inside their EM202 module. The module cost is ~$60-65.

LIRC compatibility would be a plus!

Product idea...?

Thanks again, Dave, for another cool heads-up.

The Global Caché GC-100 is a COTS solution that does Ethernet to IR (3 ports) plus having a serial port.
