Need help using Visual Baisc 6 and x10

I want to write a VB6 app which will control dimming/on/off of various strings of lights for a (next) Christmas project. Can someone direct me or get me started with some VB code that controls some X10 modules. Please help me with the right libraries or syntax for controlling a USB sending unit. It would be great if I could create the commands and then upload them to an "uploadable" x10 unit. My e-mail is snipped-for-privacy@adelphia.net Any help is appreciated.

There's also an sdk for the cm15a on the x10 website (x10.com). I've not used VB, but did write an interface in C running under Linux.
