Get yours today!
Jim Baber
I disagree. It's a commercial message but the goods being offered may very well be of interest to automators. There's no requirement that a commercial mesage only be posted in direct response to another poster's query.
I thought is was posted as a joke (that it is). Who in their right mind would buy a $5,000 front door lock for their home. If I had that much money I would just hire myself a door man and a night security officer!!! This is a bit more reasonable and becoming more affordable almost daily from many sources.
May well be of interest doesn't justify spam. Commercial messages are generally unwelcome in newsgroups and barely tolerated when used in conjunction with actually answering and ASKED question. As such that message was plain ol' spam and not welcome in this group.
Look, I'm all for folks being able to make a buck but not without it 'costing' something. In a newsgroup that cost is usually borne by helping answer actual questions asked by real people (not just shills).
And what's even worse is it's a link to an ebay auction. Doesn't ebay have some sort of "do not spam your item to newsgroups" policy?
Rod, you're apparently motivated by little more than interest in arguing for argument's sake. One might wonder if perhaps there's a better way to spend your time? I mean, besides being a jerk and all...
You'll find that costs a lot more than that.
Wrong.
Wrong.
Wrong.
You get no say what so ever on that or anything else at all. Ever.
Nope.
Why would anyone waste the skillz on a jackass like you?
Yeah, and when you feel man enough to come enforce it we'll talk, til them STFU.
Even you should be able to bullshit your way out of your predicament better than that pathetic effort.
I say again, you get no say what so ever on anything at all, ever.
I disagree. It may have been unwelcome but it doesn't qualify as spam.
Well, you know me. I make part of my living here but try to contribute something of value to the group as well. I also try to be pretty tolerant of other folks' commercialism (glass houses and so forth).
I don't know. I tried e-Bay a couple of times just to see if it was worth the effort. For me it wasn't.
Even you should be able to bullshit your way out of your predicament better than that pathetic effort.
