Is there a comprehensive program available to test the security of a friends computer via the internet ? We want to test eachothers computers now and again... I am aware of various testing sites, but I want to know exactlyu what is tested...

nmap and nessus for example - but you'll better test in a local net right before you friend's computer.

This is a good idea, because if you're more far away from your friend's computer, you don't now, which filtering software in between you will test, too.
Testing directly before your friend's computer tests his/her setup only.
